Frequently Asked Questions

1

Do you accept insurance?

Currently we are 100% private pay and do not accept any private insurance. However, we are able to provide you with a "superbill" that you can submit to insurance for reimbursement. Working with insurance companies requires a lot of time and effort that we would rather devote to your child.  We want the decisions we make about your child's therapy services to be made in collaboration with you and not directed by an insurance company that does not understand your child's needs.  Depending upon your health plan, your insurance carrier may reimburse some or all of the costs of services.

What is the benefit of in-home and community based therapy?

Teaching new skills in a setting that is part of a child's everyday routine promotes generalization and carryover of that skill.  It allows for that skill to have a functional impact right away.  Instead of going to a therapy room or clinic with fancy toys, we will use what your child has so you aren't left feeling stuck and unsure what to do.  We place a strong emphasis on parent coaching and family support, so this model of therapy allows for us to easily involve those closely related to the child.

What does therapy look like?

Following a speech and language evaluation, we will develop a plan of care that is unique to your child and is meaningful to you as a parent/caregiver. We will make therapy fun and exciting! There is no restrictions on where we can do our sessions. House, backyard, park, playground, zoo or anywhere! Let's have fun and teach your child to communicate functionally and efficiently!
